The Mission:

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days. The Criteria:Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?

Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple goals such as new year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

#29 BUY A CAR

My mom and dad have been very good to me and my sisters. Not only did they help fund our educations and endless extracurricular activies, but we always had wheels to get us there too. After college we were all expected to give the cars back. I've run out of time and so at the end of the summer I started my car search. I was terribly confused by the car market. Not to mention I didn't know many of my own variables in life - where I would be living next year, where I would be working, how much money I would be making, etc. So making choices about a car was next to impossible. After looking in to used cars, a new Camry (with attractive Wal-Mart discount), small sized SUVs, and everything in between Ben brought up a good point. If I were just going to give my car back to my parents and they were going sell it, why didn't I buy it from them? I already knew the whole vehicle history since we bought it new. not to mention it would be a steal if I bought it at market price. So I wrote the check last week to my parents. It was the BIGGEST check I have ever wriiten to date! I BOUGHT MY OWN CAR!
